Monk, mud and monkeys... An eventful trip to Coorg!

Even before we started our journey to Coorg with the mad gang of six people - Amit, Shilpa, Vishal, shivangi, Suman n me, I was little skeptical about going to this place. Given the fact that I had been here before 4 years back and was carrying not so good memories about it. well not a single good memory to be brutally honest! It was a peak of summer then with poor hospitality at the "Hotels" with claustrophobic rooms and yes I had very bad stomach on the last day. On the whole to cut the long story short when I left from this place I had sworn not to come back here again! Somehow I got convinced by so many people and finally by myself that I need to change my "perception" about Coorg and with that I gave Coorg my second chance to woo me!

So we were all excited and waiting for the Mahindra xylo to pick all of us at my place in Hyderabad at around 4 pm. Well those who atleast stayed here in Hyderabad once in their life time would have guessed correctly by now that we started our journey no sooner than 6! Well I thought to myself that's the good start... Was sulking to myself why did I agree but knew it was not coorg's fault to start our journey late! Yes, I started ignoring many things soon after that, quickly adapting myself to the "picnic" mood.  like our driver who once said, "Saar, thwudaa acha Swong laganaa, merekon nind aata!" Or Car AC acting up... When your company is good you automatically tend to put behind all your "inconveniences" and want to enjoy the moments! Converse to this argument is also true which we I guess all experience frequently is that when you are surrounded by boring people everything becomes inconvenient.

We hit the National highway number 7 soon after saying quick good bye to the setting Sun near Gachhibowli Stadium. Nice n wide 4 lane road gives you real high when you make most of it. We touched 120 KMH. USB drive on the car was singing late 80's- early 90's Disco numbers  along with us. Snacks to hogg on...  We all were enjoying, shouting, hogging n suddenly I realized something went pass my window. Wohaa, that was moment chill ran through my spine and I told to myself not to look back again in the window... Well I am 6 feet tall, slightly overweight and I am not even scared of cockroaches! But that moment got me. I choose to ignore it and decided to sing (read shout) with more vigor. Suddenly Amit shouted on top of all our voices who was seating at the back seat that one of the bag fell down! Yeah. It was a bag. And it was the most precious one. Not that it had something expensive or valuable; it had an Old Monk... It was crushed. What we saw when we reached the spot was bag drench and lying lifelessly in a dark fluid with the distorted pieces of monk. We killed the Monk, its spirit was freed...
to be continued...

Single traveller song...

There are so many different songs from different genre I like which are based on the single travellers and their journeys. But I don't understand why whenever I travel alone this song of Lucky Ali invariably floats in my mind. I don't know why n when it got engraved on my subconscious.
"Ghar se main nikla, tanha akela
Saath mere kaun hain yaar hai mera
jo bhi karna tha, ghar aa gaya main
pyaar ko hi maanke chalte jaana
dekha hai aise hi, kisi ko aise hi
apne hi dil mein basaye hue kuch irade hain dil ke kisi kone bhi kuchh aise hi baaten hain inko liye jab hum chale nazare bhi humse mile.
o.. dekha hai aise hi, kisi ko aise bhi haste hasate sab ko manaake hum jaayenge barson ki doori ko hum sab saath mitayenge. pyaar rahe unke liye jo dhoonde woh unko mile o...
Thoda sa garaj hai, thoda sa samajh hai chahton ki daayre main itna faraz hai koi kehta hai, ki ghar aa gaya hai arzoo bhi arz hai padhte jaana dekha hai aise hi, kisi ko aise hi dil ke jharokhon mein ab bhi mohabbat ke saaye hain reh gaye jo baad mein bhi hameare wafaayen hain inke liye kab tak chale, hazaron mein hum bhi mile, o.. dekha hai aise hi, kisi ko aise bhi..."
